Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach

Certified Pre/Postnatal Coach

I'm Casey, and I help people that work from a computer optimize their health and performance.

Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health. Instead of surviving, you're thriving!

Whether it's moving with strength and without pain while exercising, or making a nutritious dinner after a day at the office. I help clients reduce stress and anxiety by learning the basics of mindfulness surrounding their health habits.

My goal for you is to build new habits and turn your behavior into a rock solid foundation, for a life full of whole wellness.

I've been working with clients across the country since 2016. From professional athletes, cancer survivors, pre/postnatal moms, veterans, and people working from home. All on the mission to become their best self. Not only performing better physically without pain, but including more whole foods into their daily routines.

Join me in building your roots towards a sustainable life for yourself, your family and your community

The Storm...

and being excited to dance in the rain.

Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. Life would be meaningless if it was. If we only felt happiness, would we really even know what happiness was? Or would it turn into a mundane feeling since we don't have fear, regret, and sadness to act as the polar opposites? Social media often portrays life to be flawless, but sometimes a thunderstorm rolls into town and rocks our world. I still can't believe I'm writing this story on my website...This is my account of what it's like to be stuck in the storm, and how to find joy, by dancing in the rain.

"He who has a 'why' to live for, can bear almost any 'how'." - Nietzsche

I went from a full-time personal trainer/Fitness Director before the pandemic, to unemployed due to shutdowns in the blink of an eye. That led to selling solar panels, then being a FedEx delivery driver while gyms stayed closed. I saved enough to open my own fitness studio. I bought gym equipment to start my own online business. I was getting clients, and gaining traction. I had just been a groomsman in my best friends wedding....then a life changing medical condition started. One day, while training a group of professional hockey players, the symptoms of a rare metabolic condition started, called Intestinal Metabolic Bromhidrosis Syndrome (IMBS). Doctors believe it was from several rounds of strong antibiotics I took in order to cure chronic Lyme disease, but there is no way to tell quite what caused it. The antibiotics killed the Lyme disease. However, the IMBS started in it's place. It makes life stink sometimes. Not for everyone, but enough. I've had too many doctors appointments, injections, needles, procedures and scans done that I've lost count. All of my testing came back normal, and it still does. A seemingly mysterious diagnosis with no known cure. That didn't stop the feelings of embarrassment, frustration, grief, shame, and guilt from creeping in. A deep depression ensued. My pursuit of building my dream business came to a screeching halt and the darkness had engulfed any sort of light I had going for me.

Everyone has their own version of hard, their own version of darkness. This is my hard, my darkness. Each version of darkness requires a large amount of courage, and strength, in order to bring out the light again.

“In the midst of darkness, light persists.” – Mahatma Gandhi

I currently live a different life than I thought I would. That doesn't mean I'm going to stop trying to live the best possible life I can. I'm learning to love life again. Finding meaning and peace in the suffering. I've built this business around my home, well, because that's where I spend quite a bit of time. I love it here, it was my grandparents house, where my Dad grew up. Where we had pool parties, cookouts, and kickball games as kids. I walked here after elementary school each day and was served tomato soup and a fresh grilled cheese from my grandmother. Yum. Part of the house was a local market for fresh fruit & veggies, bread, eggs, and milk back in the 1950-60's, a staple in our community. I've poured my blood, sweat and tears into rebuilding it, returning it to it's former glory, in a whole new way. The kitchen, the garden, the gym, and nature are the core components. This is where I feel the most whole. I may not live in this home forever, but I'm proud to be able to start here.

I've found Whole Wellness here. I've built Whole Wellness from scratch. This is my version of Whole Wellness. You need to create your own version of Whole Wellness, by putting your own unique spin on it, with what works best for you. I can't tell you what works best for you, only you know what works best for you. I'm here as a guide, to walk side by side with you, up your own personal mountain of success.

This is what works for me currently. This is what minimizes symptoms and maximizes my life. I'm learning daily, testing new things, whatever I can do to improve my condition. I love science, and as I continue my education, my views will change. I'll become a better trainer, coach, and most importantly a better human because of it.

Deep Breathe. Don't Stop. Keep Going.

For the Phomies

Courage (n): the ability to do something that frightens one. Strength in the face of pain or grief.

People going through this, often hide in the shadows, afraid to leave their house and do the things they love. I'm choosing to bring the light.

It would be easy to throw in the towel, get a remote 9-5 job, and never hear from me. I've invested my entire life into helping others, I refuse to let it just slip away.

At Phome, we understand that we are so much more than our diagnosis. We are NOT "high blood pressure" or "diabetes". We are humans. Humans with goals, emotions, and amazing potential.

Phomies

People that not only impact themselves, but the people around them as well. A culture where everyone is welcome, where we grow together, as Phomies.

We care about our neighbors, and spread gratitude. We take care of ourselves first, so we can show up as better people for the ones around us.

We get in touch with our inner self through quieting the monkey mind, and digging deeper. Digging deeper roots, and finding a foundation in ourselves first.
